About
Kathryn (she/her) is a multimedia artist born, raised, and currently residing in occupied Arapaho territory (Denver, Colorado). Her practice works through intuitive play with materials, improvisational gestures and mark-making, and repetition of movement and forms. While her practice does not center on one medium alone, her two loves of textile arts and crafting prompted her to launch Kitty Kat Chase — a line of hand-dyed, needle felted earrings made with the intention of bringing slowly, hand-crafted objects into people’s everyday lives. In recognizing the art of costuming our bodies each and every morning, she hopes that her accessories may give people permission to explore and celebrate their own complex, individual selves.
Kathryn graduated in 2019 from Colorado College with a BA in Studio Art and a minor in Feminist and Gender Studies. She currently teaches at Textile Arts Center based in Brooklyn, New York.
